Aubrey is also an arts researcher. She is interested in the use of theatre as a therapeutic tool, in both community and clinical therapeutic settings, for people with mental health problems. Her masters thesis was on "The Long-Term Impact of Applied and Community-based Theatre on the Peace-building Process in Northern Ireland." She is an Institute for Economics and Peace Global Peace Ambassador, and a member of the Knowledge for Prevention (K4P) Youth Advisory Committee at the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace, and Security in Halifax, Canada.
